I'm Cloud Strife. I've been called a Jack of All Trades in the past.

I once was a soldier for Shin-Ra, no one special, just another faceless troop. After the destruction of my hometown, Nibelheim, I became a lab rat along side Zack, a friend and SOLDIER. We escaped and made it to Midgar, even though it cost Zack his life. Taking Zack's advice, I became a mercenary and got involved with a group called AVALANCHE.

Life got complicated then. I became close to a young woman, Aeris, the last of the Cetra, only to lose her. I lost myself somewhere along the way, but Tifa came to my aid. After Sephiroth was defeated and Meteor stopped by Holy, I found residence in Midgar where I started Strife's Delivery Service. For a time I've been going back to the church as to where Aeris and I have just met. ...I guess that used to be where I called home.

I was afflicted with an illness known a Geostigma, two years after Meteor was destroyed. Things got complicated again. One day, Tifa called me about stopping by Healin to go see Reno about something, but it was as if Healin got up and moved someplace else entirely. The drive north was taking much longer than it should have, and along the way I found a young woman on the side of the dirt path I was driving on. She would have died if I hadn't come by in time. There were some deep cuts on her arms and face, and it looked as if she's lost quite a bit of blood.

Later, I took the both of us to a forest so I could call Tifa and the rest for assistance, and so that Marianne, the woman whose life I saved, could get some rest. The phone wasn't working, due to the planet shifting around in random areas by the hour. Marianne woke up sometime after I just wanted to give up in calling people for a while. I learned through her that she came from a different world and that I was a fictional character for movie and game entertainment there. Marianne learned that I, my friends, my enemies, my world...all of that she found out existed. In short, our worlds co-exist with each other in seperate dimensions.

In this movie she owns, known as Final Fantasy VII: Advent Children, she couldn't believe that I found her, and that three Jenova worshipping younger versions of Sephiroth hadn't been trying to look for me yet. It was until later that two of the three brothers, Kadaj and Loz, had tracked the both of us down.

Zack, long dead for seven years, was shoved by an invader inside the lifestream to save Marianne from Loz and the shadow beasts that were summoned. In a way, Zack had sort of come back to life.

Kadaj was doing all he could to keep me from going to her aid. Kadaj and Loz eventually retreated, and I found Zack with Marianne and had to save her a second time. Zack told us of the lifestream invader, and sometime before Kadaj and Loz left, Kadaj mentioned that he and Marianne had met before.

From the attack, and all the Zack talked about in between the lifestream invader and Kadaj, I put two and two together; Kadaj was the one who had left her for dead. When I found her, she couldn't remember that he did. She couldn't remember how she got from her world to Gaia either. Zack was protectively saving that information until we would find the Cid Highwind, Tifa, and the rest of my friends on Cid's new airship.

Later, my suspicions were confirmed on Kadaj and his brothers. Marianne had woken up from a dream that was so vivid that she had witnessed everything that she couldn't remember from before. Through what she told Zack and I, the lifestream had leaked out of Gaia into Earth due to the invader testing the planet's life to its limits, and like a vaccuum, she was pulled in to collide and encounter Kadaj, Loz, and Yazoo.

Together we found Cid's group. More has happened (such as Aeris getting shoved out of the lifestream too), but to be brief, those Jenova worshipping maniacs were sent into the lifestream after I fought Sephiroth for the second time. At some point the lifestream invader had shown itself to Zack and Marianne, especially. During the time when I had a brief upper hand in the battle against Sephiroth, Marianne had tried to use his blade to destroy that black eyed monster, only to have him dissolve into a black mist to enter her body. Once she was out of the count, Sephiroth had recovered his weapon, and in the end I made sure he was put to rest.

Shortly after the battle, four people from an organization known as Torchwood had arrived. They came from Marianne's world, across the ocean east of her country. The lifestream's invader inside Marianne had her out of it for around two days. None of us, not even Marianne herself, know what had happened.

If Zack hadn't come up with the deal to watch over Marianne back in her world, then Captain Jack Harkness would have given Marianne pills that permanently erase memories. She was returned with them back to Earth, and since Zack and Aeris could visit in between worlds have the lot of us on Gaia could stay in touch by calling Marianne, and her calling us in return with mobile phones. With the planet no longer changing every now and then, and our contact with each other in our seperate worlds had gone on for about a year, until somehow the lifestream managed to pull me, Tifa, Cid, Reno, Rude and the rest of the Turks, Barret, Yuffie, Vincent, Cait Sith, and others into Earth, at various times.

There's no going back to Gaia, it looks like. My Gaian friends and I are stuck on Earth. Marianne had only fallen ill once the first of us came through. Now I feel that probably what happened to Gaia will probably happen to Earth too. I don't know for sure, but when I got dragged into Marianne's and Torchwood's world, it was similar as to how Marianne came to mine.
